Mamadafunk is a multi genre DJ with a bias towards keeping funky. She has been playing in festivals and bars for many years, bringing her cleverly mixed eclectic mixes to shows all over NZ. This year in the Chill lounge Mama is teaming up with Joka to bring you all a blend of electronic, smooth, jazzy lounge and deep house music blended with the sultry sounds of Joka’s live Sax.
Originally from France, Joka came to New Zealand two years ago with his saxophone and started jamming with the DJs in festivals, experimenting with music and sound. Playing a variety of instruments he swings from groovy funk to deep techno, alongside various bands, DJs and music producers. His powerful and mesmerizing tones have made crowds dance, bringing the musical experience to a whole other level.
