Bringing the vibe of celebration from many cultures to the dance floor, CHIKAA loves weaving a musical tapestry of global dimensions, uniting the dance floor with combination of South American Folktronica, Caribbean, Gypsy and Afro Latin bass rhythms.

Playing Ecstatic Dance for Cacao Ceremony at Sydney’s New Years Eve Festival Lost Paradise, supporting yoga journeys for Bali Spirit Festival 2017, as well as playing dance sets and facilitating workshops at Burning Man 2017, CHIKAA smoothly transitions from creating deep shamanic sound journeys to inspiring conga trains and limbo antics.

Starting out as a radio DJ for Melbourne’s PBS FM in 2007 with weekly ‘Beat Carnival’, CHIKAA has continued to bring global bass to the airwaves with her weekly Base FM show in New Zealand ‘Subtropica Showcase’.

A frequent festival player, CHIKAA has had the pleasure of bringing her tropical jams to some of NZ’s most prominent festivals including AUM, Splore, Sundaise, Prana and Earthbeat.
