Relax, Recharge and Restore with Qigong
Move Workshop
Presenter: Rachel Maguire
Suitable for: Adults only
This session will help you find a place of deep relaxation and a deepened awareness of and connection with your own life force energy with some easy to learn Qigong exercises. It will finish with a lying relaxation and heart meditation, leaving you in a blissful state after marinating in healthy and positive Qi. Bring something to sit or lie on.
It will start with a short explanation of Qi; Qi in the universe, Qi in nature, how it flows through our body, how it connects the mind and body and what happens when our Qi gets blocked. From there we will move on to a mini explanation of what Qigong is, and how we can consciously absorb and gather Qi from nature and the universe for better health, vitality and wellbeing. This will be followed by some Qigong practice (meditation in motion) which will help us connect with our inner selves and get into a deeper space while stretching and opening up the Qi channels in the body. To finish off the workshop there will be a guided heart meditation to help people connect with a very calm and joyful space before re-emerging into the festival.
