
Samba Reggae Percussion and Dance – Brazilian Social Club
Participants can choose to play a samba percussion instrument led by musician Marcio Molinari and by Musician/drum teacher Greg Mills, or they can choose to follow dance leader Leonora Soares. Both workshops will happen at the same time. The percussion group will play for the dance group, resulting in a mini pop on the spot performance!
Presenter Bio:
Leonora – has been teaching Brazilian Rhythms Dances in Nelson for 15 years and she is the coordinator and dance leader of local community band The Nelson Sambassadors.
Leonora is an accredited teacher by Nelson Centre of Musical Arts.
Greg – is a drum teacher at various schools and colleges in Nelson and he is also a music director at Nelson Sambassadors and musician at Brazilian Social club band. Greg is and accredited teacher by Nelson Centre of Musical Arts.
Marcio – is the founder and lead singer of Brazilian Social Club and has many years in the music industry.
Together, Leonora and Greg, have been presenting workshops in local schools, corporate events and at music festivals in the past 6 years through Nelson Sambassadors.
