After wandering the world as a street artist for 7 years, Bass Fairy, aka Joy Browning, returned to her homeland of Australia, where she became quickly immersed in the culture of the alternative music festival scene. After years of working, performing as a flow artist and exhibiting her art at dozens of festivals across the country, she perceived a musical niche that she felt deeply passionate to fill – Spiritual Bass Music…that’s uplifting & grounding at the same time.
The kind of music that ignites dancefloor awakenings; that facilitates openness, healing, radical freedom, self-expression & unconditional love; Â that catapults listeners into previously unchartered expanses of consciousness.
Bass Fairy brings this intention to life with a blend of downtemple & bass music- intertwining a distinctive world flavour, particularly Eastern mystic and Latin American medicine songs, influenced by her many years immersed in spiritual practice in India & South America.
As a multidisciplinary artist and musician, she also weaves elements of flow & performance art into her sets, and sometimes surprises with live vocals, harp and shamanic drum.
