A laboratory of live music and guided ecstatic dance: mixing music and dance as the medicine for the moment. With gifted multi-instrumentalists Craig Denham and Nathan Torvik we explore how collective movement and music can respond to the needs of the moment in a truly conscious and interactive way. Soma Sonic events are not your usual gig, not an audience affair… They are co-created happenings. The music is improvised on the spot to/with the dance. Ranges through world styles, ambient, electronic, folk, everything really!! It’s spontaneous so who knows what will turn up. It is a collective attempt to be whatever is needed through sound and movement.
