Presenter: Rough Town
Suitable for: All ages, intermediate level
Instrument workshop (melody and accompaniment) teaching a Celtic tune in the old tradition, by ear. All instruments are welcome with a primary focus on fiddle and guitar. Aimed at an intermediate level although all ages and stages are welcome – participants should have a reasonable command of their instrument and be prepared to focus on traditional technique (ie bowing and ornamentation). There is no sheet music as the tune is taught by ear, you’re also welcome to record the melody and work on it in your own time. There will be separate groups for melody and accompaniment.
Bring a chair and your instruments!
