The aims of this workshop are to develop the basic foundations of contact staff. We will be focusing on body movement and footwork, and how this effects the movement of a staff over someones body. Once knowledge of footwork and body movement has been incorporated into someones flowstate, more advanced contact staff becomes easier.

Presenter Bio:

Hamish has experience in both contact staff and dragon staff. He has performed at various festivals and private events including Kaiapoi Fire and Ice Festival, Oamaru Steampunk Festival and Lyttelton Lights Festival. He is involved in the running of Christchurch fire nights and the UC Flow Club.
